Nike Basketball Air Max LeBron VII NFW “Red Carpet” Quickstrike.

The colorway on these new LeBron shoes are pretty cool looking. I like how the front of each shoe says either “twenty” or “three”.  I like these new LeBron’s a lot better than the new Jordan shoes.

“Nike’s innovative yet simplistic Flywire technology has seen itself at the center of numerous high-performance sneakers from Nike since its inception. However a trend that has seen itself over a few different performance basketball sneakers has included the NFW treatment, designated as No Flywire. The original LeBron VII is for the most part a Flywire sneaker as this special release does away with the lightweight, supportive material in favor of a woven pattern. The colorway is reminsicent of some of the “Clearwater” drops seen earlier this year from the lifestyle department of Nike with the use of blue-green with white and black colors. Available now at Kix-Files.”

LeBron James Dunked On?

WATCH THE VIDEO OF LeBRON JAMES GETTING DUNKED ON AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS POST!!!!!!

dunk

What happens at LeBron’s camp stays at LeBron’s camp.

A minor controversy erupted at the LeBron James Skills Academy on Monday night when two videographers recorded a pickup game in which Xavier‘s Jordan Crawford dunked on James.

Gary Parrish reported on CBSSports.com that a Nike representative confiscated tapes of the dunk after conferring with James.

A representative with Nike, which runs the camp at the University of Akron in James’ hometown, made no mention of Crawford’s dunk. He said the tapes were confiscated because videotaping of after-hours pickup games at the camp is not allowed.

“Nike has been operating basketball camps for the benefit of young athletes for decades and has long-standing policies as to what events are open and closed to media coverage. Unfortunately, for the first time in four years, two journalists did not respect our no videotaping policy at an after-hours pickup game following the LeBron James Skills Academy,” Nike spokesman Derek Kent said on Wednesday.

Ryan Miller, who videotaped the dunk and had his tape confiscated, detailed the events to CBSSports.com.

“[Nike Basketball senior director Lynn Merritt] just said, ‘We have to take your tape,’ ” Miller said. “They took it from other guys, too.”

Miller, who is a freelancer, was at the camp in part for ESPNU. He also was getting material for Syracuse.com. Miller, who attended Syracuse, had been part of ESPNU’s Campus Connection program, which uses college students to report on various sports events at their campuses. The tape that was confiscated belonged to Miller, not ESPN, and he is not an ESPN employee.

Miller said he had been filming all day and only had his tapes confiscated after Crawford’s dunk over James.

“LeBron called Lynn over and told him something,” Miller told CBSSports.com. “That’s how I knew his name was Lynn. LeBron said, ‘Hey, Lynn. Come here.’ “

Minutes later, Miller said Merritt demanded his tape.

“There’s nothing I can think of besides LeBron just not wanting it online,” Miller told CBSSports.com. “It’s a good story to tell people, I guess. But then again, I’m kind of pissed. I lost my tape.”

A spokesman for James said he had no comment.

The camp features 80 top basketball prospects from around the nation.

Crawford said his dunk happened in the first 20 minutes of a game that lasted about two hours and did not prompt any reaction from James.

“We just went on playing,” Crawford said Wednesday. “It was exciting just to be playing on the same court as him. I can see why he is so great at what he does.”

In an interview on ESPN First Take on Thursday, Crawford said he didn’t realize the magnitude of his feat until he noticed the reaction of other players at the camp.

As for the tape not being available for public viewing, Crawford said: “It’s really not a big deal to me.”

Information from The Associated Press was used in this report.

I guess that Jordan Crawford can get up, here is a video of him freshman year in a dunk competition when he went to Indiana.

*Be sure to check out WWW.ENLITEN.ME for more blogs as well as our clothing line!*

********************************************************************

Released 8/25/11 – Nike unveiled the new Oregon Pro Combat football uniforms today. They will be worn against LSU in the Cowboys Classic in Arlington, Texas. The game will be played in Dallas Cowboys stadium (JerryWorld) on Sept. 3, 2011 and will be shown on prime time ESPN. College GameDay will be on hand for the first week of college football as well. Below are some pictures of the new uniforms, which are similar to what Oregon wore in the BCS National Championship game. The uniforms are again really light helping keep players cool, and they also feature Teflon, the same material used in bullet proof vests. Again the “BLUR” yellow makes appearances on the helmet, gloves, jersey and shoes, which are all new. The undershirts are Nike dry-fit and sport the players numbers on the sleeves.

UPDATE 12/15/10 – Nike recently released new Nike Pro Combat football uniforms for Oregon to wear in the BCS National Championship game in Glendale, Arizona on January 10th, 2010. The new uniforms are similar to the ones that the Ducks have been wearing this season, with a few notable differences. The uniforms were unveiled at Cowboys Stadium in Dallas, with NFL players as models. Here is a picture of what they will be wearing:

*EDIT* To see the exact uniforms that were worn in the BCS National Championship game, scroll down to the bottom of this post.

Close up of the gloves

These new uniforms are similar to the all whites worn against USC this year, with the carbon fiber helmets that were worn during the Portland St. game (yellow O’s on the sides). The numbers are also outlined with the bright yellow that matches the socks and the back of the shoes. The material of the uniform is the newest and best material which is way lighter than the previous uniforms.

June 2009

Nike has kept these new uniforms a big secret around town, but finally released Oregon’s new football uniforms for the upcoming season. They are similar to the “winged” all black uniforms that Oregon broke out for the Arizona game last season. A few thing to note about the new uniforms.

*All new material – 25% lighter than previous uniforms

*No longer any yellow pants or yellow helmets.

*A new “silver” color is added to the uniform combinations, along with a “carbon fiber” helmet. (down the middle of the helmet it says ‘go hard. go oregon. go ducks’)

I am interested into hearing what others thinking about the new uniforms?

Attached first is a picture of last seasons jerseys, followed by a few pictures of the new ones, along with a link to a slide-show of the new jerseys.

Only 30 Days???!!!??

So I know how bad Michael Vick’s whole dog fighting case was.  I mean he got 2-3 years in prison for that – pretty big deal.  On March 14th of this year, Browns’ receiver Donte Stallworth killed a person while driving drunk.  How does he get away with only 30 days in jail? This doesn’t seem right to me. Attached is a full story.

Donte Stallworth

“MIAMI — Cleveland Browns wide receiver Donte’ Stallworth took full responsibility for killing a pedestrian while driving drunk in Florida and began serving a 30-day jail sentence Tuesday after he pleaded guilty to DUI manslaughter.

Stallworth also reached a confidential financial settlement to avoid a potential lawsuit from the family of 59-year-old Mario Reyes, according to Stallworth attorney Christopher Lyons. Reyes was struck and killed March 14 by Stallworth, who was driving his black 2005 Bentley after a night drinking at a swanky hotel bar.

Stallworth, 28, told Miami-Dade Circuit Judge Dennis Murphy that he hopes to get involved in drunken driving education programs.

“I accept full responsibility for this horrible tragedy,” said Stallworth, who was accompanied at the hearing by his parents, siblings and other supporters. “I will bear this burden for the rest of my life.”

Stallworth faced 15 years in prison. After his release from jail, Stallworth must serve two years of house arrest and spend eight years on probation.

The NFL has said it will review the matter for possible disciplinary action. Lyons said the plea agreement will allow Stallworth to resume his football career.

Stallworth must also undergo drug and alcohol testing, will have a lifetime driver’s license suspension and must perform 1,000 hours of community service. Lyons said after five years, Stallworth could win approval for limited driving such as for employment.

Miami-Dade State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle cited Stallworth’s lack of previous criminal record, cooperation with police and willingness to accept responsibility as factors in the plea deal. Rundle also said the Reyes family — particularly the victim’s 15-year-old daughter — wanted the case resolved to avoid any more pain.

“For all of these reasons, a just resolution of this case has been reached,” Rundle said.

None of the Reyes family attended the hearing. Their attorney, Rodolfo Suarez, read a statement saying the family wants to “bring closure to this emotional and tragic event.” Suarez was not immediately available to comment after the hearing.

After a night drinking at a bar in Miami Beach’s Fountainebleau hotel, police said Stallworth hit Reyes, a construction crane operator who was rushing to catch a bus after finishing his shift around 7:15 a.m. Stallworth told police he flashed his lights in an attempt to warn Reyes, who was not in a crosswalk when he was struck.

Stallworth had a blood-alcohol level of .126 after the crash, well above Florida’s .08 limit. Stallworth stopped after the crash and immediately told officers he had hit Reyes. Police estimated Stallworth was driving about 50 mph in a 40 mph zone.

Stallworth signed a seven-year, $35 million contract with the Browns before last season but was injured much of the year. The California native and University of Tennessee college star has also played in the NFL for the New England Patriots, Philadelphia Eagles and New Orleans Saints.

The night before the crash, Stallworth earned a $4.5 million roster bonus from the Browns.

David Cornwell, a Stallworth attorney handling the NFL situation, said he has kept top league officials apprised of the case.

“Whenever it is appropriate to do so, we are prepared to discuss the circumstances under which Donte’ will resume his career,” Cornwell said.

LeBron Memorial Shot.

So now that LeBron James’ season is over, I wanted to post this funny video.

This video is a funny news response after he hit the game winning three against Orlando at home. Check it out.

Where do you think Lebron will end up? Do you think he’ll end up staying close to home and try to do it again with the Cavs? Or do you think that he’ll decide to try and switch things up and make a move to better his career? Possibly New York?
