Nike Basketball Air Max LeBron VII NFW “Red Carpet” Quickstrike.

The colorway on these new LeBron shoes are pretty cool looking. I like how the front of each shoe says either “twenty” or “three”.  I like these new LeBron’s a lot better than the new Jordan shoes.

“Nike’s innovative yet simplistic Flywire technology has seen itself at the center of numerous high-performance sneakers from Nike since its inception. However a trend that has seen itself over a few different performance basketball sneakers has included the NFW treatment, designated as No Flywire. The original LeBron VII is for the most part a Flywire sneaker as this special release does away with the lightweight, supportive material in favor of a woven pattern. The colorway is reminsicent of some of the “Clearwater” drops seen earlier this year from the lifestyle department of Nike with the use of blue-green with white and black colors. Available now at Kix-Files.”

Michael Jordan/Gatorade street art photos.

Check this out, it’s pretty cool.  Gatorade is releasing a commercial later this summer

that has a big picture of Michael Jordan.  The cool thing is that the picture is made with

over 19,000 Gatorade bottles, including the new Jordan series. Check the pics.

Looks like Scottie Pippen made it out to the event to help place some bottles.

Only 30 Days???!!!??

So I know how bad Michael Vick’s whole dog fighting case was.  I mean he got 2-3 years in prison for that – pretty big deal.  On March 14th of this year, Browns’ receiver Donte Stallworth killed a person while driving drunk.  How does he get away with only 30 days in jail? This doesn’t seem right to me. Attached is a full story.

Donte Stallworth

“MIAMI — Cleveland Browns wide receiver Donte’ Stallworth took full responsibility for killing a pedestrian while driving drunk in Florida and began serving a 30-day jail sentence Tuesday after he pleaded guilty to DUI manslaughter.

Stallworth also reached a confidential financial settlement to avoid a potential lawsuit from the family of 59-year-old Mario Reyes, according to Stallworth attorney Christopher Lyons. Reyes was struck and killed March 14 by Stallworth, who was driving his black 2005 Bentley after a night drinking at a swanky hotel bar.

Stallworth, 28, told Miami-Dade Circuit Judge Dennis Murphy that he hopes to get involved in drunken driving education programs.

“I accept full responsibility for this horrible tragedy,” said Stallworth, who was accompanied at the hearing by his parents, siblings and other supporters. “I will bear this burden for the rest of my life.”

Stallworth faced 15 years in prison. After his release from jail, Stallworth must serve two years of house arrest and spend eight years on probation.

The NFL has said it will review the matter for possible disciplinary action. Lyons said the plea agreement will allow Stallworth to resume his football career.

Stallworth must also undergo drug and alcohol testing, will have a lifetime driver’s license suspension and must perform 1,000 hours of community service. Lyons said after five years, Stallworth could win approval for limited driving such as for employment.

Miami-Dade State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle cited Stallworth’s lack of previous criminal record, cooperation with police and willingness to accept responsibility as factors in the plea deal. Rundle also said the Reyes family — particularly the victim’s 15-year-old daughter — wanted the case resolved to avoid any more pain.

“For all of these reasons, a just resolution of this case has been reached,” Rundle said.

None of the Reyes family attended the hearing. Their attorney, Rodolfo Suarez, read a statement saying the family wants to “bring closure to this emotional and tragic event.” Suarez was not immediately available to comment after the hearing.

After a night drinking at a bar in Miami Beach’s Fountainebleau hotel, police said Stallworth hit Reyes, a construction crane operator who was rushing to catch a bus after finishing his shift around 7:15 a.m. Stallworth told police he flashed his lights in an attempt to warn Reyes, who was not in a crosswalk when he was struck.

Stallworth had a blood-alcohol level of .126 after the crash, well above Florida’s .08 limit. Stallworth stopped after the crash and immediately told officers he had hit Reyes. Police estimated Stallworth was driving about 50 mph in a 40 mph zone.

Stallworth signed a seven-year, $35 million contract with the Browns before last season but was injured much of the year. The California native and University of Tennessee college star has also played in the NFL for the New England Patriots, Philadelphia Eagles and New Orleans Saints.

The night before the crash, Stallworth earned a $4.5 million roster bonus from the Browns.

David Cornwell, a Stallworth attorney handling the NFL situation, said he has kept top league officials apprised of the case.

“Whenever it is appropriate to do so, we are prepared to discuss the circumstances under which Donte’ will resume his career,” Cornwell said.

Jordan 16.5 Leaked Pics.

A new Jordan fusion, the 16.5 in blk/red, hits Foot Locker in November, just in time to make holiday wish lists. New Jordans are always the center of exhaustive discussion, and these fusions will be no exception. The 16.5 is a hybrid of the XVI and XVII, although it looks like the XVII has the stronger influence (to repurpose the scale, I’d call it a 16.7) since it led the direction of the upper, the most identifiable part of the shoe. The XVII is most visible in the double row of lace eyelits, reduced from 8 to 6 on a side. The mid-sole and patent toe-box draft off of the XVI’s design, and this first colorway matches up with the original release of the XVI. An interesting new touch is “Jordan” in braille on the mid-sole heel. No word on the price yet.

8 Golds and One Big Fat Green Bowl.

A picture was recently released of US swimmer Michael Phelps at a November house party while visiting the University of South Carolina.  In this picture Phelps is shown smoking marijuana from a bong.  Witnesses say that Phelps was out of control from the moment that he entered the house party.  His recent actions should have no impact on his eight gold metals at Beijing since he has never tested positive for banned substances.  It should only hurt his pocket book, as many investors and sponsors are likely to drop Phelps or reconsider their contracts.  But hey maybe the world is now aware of Phelps’ secret weapon to winning.  Keep up the good off-season training Phelps.phelps_big_0102
